Advanced Turbomachinery Successfully Validated Ahead of Integration into Next-Generation Missile Propulsion System

SAN DIEGO, July 27, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: KTOS), a technology company in the defense, national security and global markets, today announced that it has successfully developed, tested, and delivered advanced turbomachinery supporting development of Lockheed Martin’s advanced ramjet propulsion system.

Kratos designed a compact, high-performance turbomachinery solution that harnesses ram air energy to support propulsion system operations. This self-regulating design delivers a superior size and weight solution compared to alternative approaches, contributing to the overall performance and affordability objectives of the program. Prior to integration into the propulsion system, Kratos completed a comprehensive standalone turbomachinery test campaign to validate operating points, component durability, and performance.

The successful validation of Kratos’ turbomachinery contributed to the broader propulsion system’s testing, which validated the propulsion system’s readiness to advance toward flight testing. Representatives from Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Army’s Aviation and Missile Center were present to witness the propulsion system test, which demonstrated that the missile’s core propulsion is a validated capability ready to support near-term fielding plans.

SAN DIEGO, July 20, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: KTOS), a Technology Company in the Defense, National Security and Global Markets, today announced that it will manufacture Elroy Air’s Chaparral autonomous cargo aircraft in its expanding Sacramento, California production facility, supporting increasing demand across commercial logistics and defense markets while expecting to further grow its regional workforce of 450 high-tech employees by more than 50 as Chaparral production ramps.

The Chaparral is a hybrid-electric, vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) autonomous cargo aircraft designed to transport more than 500 pounds of payload with a maximum range of up to 450 miles without requiring traditional airport infrastructure. The system is designed to support commercial middle-mile logistics while also providing a flexible, autonomous resupply capability for military operations.

The announcement marks the transition from strategic manufacturing partner to production execution following Elroy Air’s recent announcement of its planned public listing and continued commercial momentum. Kratos is the exclusive U.S. manufacturer of the Chaparral aircraft and will fulfill all U.S. customer orders, with the first production aircraft planned for late 2026. Recent expansion of Kratos’ Sacramento manufacturing operations provides the production capacity necessary to support anticipated increases in aircraft deliveries.

Located within driving distance of Elroy Air’s headquarters, the expanded Sacramento facility strengthens collaboration between the two companies while increasing manufacturing capacity for one of the industry’s most advanced autonomous cargo aircraft. The expansion will drive additional hiring across aircraft technicians, composite manufacturing specialists, assemblers, engineers, production operations, quality assurance, and program management positions, bringing Kratos’ Sacramento-area workforce to more than 500 employees.

Strong 1Q. Kratos’s balanced business model of making internally funded investments and the rapid development and fielding of relevant products for the Department of War is producing positive results. The Company significantly exceeded the first quarter forecast across the board, with EBITDA being particularly strong as a result of execution and product delivery mix, with Kratos’ Microwave Electronics, Turbine Technologies, and Unmanned Systems businesses each having a particularly strong quarter.

1Q26 Results. Revenue of $371 million rose 22.6%, including 15.8% organic growth, over the same period last year. We were at $340 million. Adjusted EBITDA totaled $38.7 million, or a 10.4% margin, compared to $26.7 million and 6.6% in 1Q25. Our forecast was for $27 million. Net income was $11.9 million, or $0.07/sh, up from $4.5 million, or $0.03/sh, in 1Q25. Adjusted EPS was $0.16 in 1Q26, up from $0.12 last year. We were at $0.02 and $0.13, respectively.

SAN DIEGO, April 21, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: KTOS), a leader in defense, national security and global markets, today announces that it has completed the initial flight series of the Kratos J85 engine version of the Firejet unmanned aerial system (UAS), dubbed Mk1 Firejet. This second major configuration of the Firejet enables users/customers to select the model that best suits their operational requirements. With the new J85 engine configuration, the Firejet takes a major step forward in the aero-performance category for customers who need the extra performance.

Classic Firejet, the baseline Firejet target system, supports key missions for the U.S. Army Target Systems Management Office (TSMO) at a high level of aerodynamic performance. Flying since the early 2010s with JetCat engines, Classic Firejet has evolved and been adapted to meet the customer performance and threat representation requirements over time. In addition to the U.S. Army operating the Classic Firejet, ally countries around the world operate the Classic Firejet, most recently including Taiwan, which has selected the Tactical Firejet named Mighty Hornet IV for their configuration.

With the new Kratos Spartan engine production facility established in late 2025, production is ramping up for the J85 and other Spartan engine models. Production rates are expected to be in the thousands by later this year and tens of thousands over the next few years meeting the demand for recapitalization which is becoming even more important this year with depletion of U.S. and ally inventories.

Mr. King has served as a senior executive and board member in the aerospace, defense, national security and government sectors for more than four decades. Mr. King previously served as an executive officer and a member of the board of directors of Dynetics, Inc. (“Dynetics”) beginning in 2009, where he also served as Chief Executive Officer from 2015 to 2020. While at Dynetics, Mr. King led the company’s transformation into a leading mid-tier defense technology, hardware, product and systems company, overseeing Dynetics growth from approximately $180 million, to over $650 million in revenue, culminating in its $1.65 billion sale to Leidos Holdings, Inc. in 2020. Following Leidos’ acquisition of Dynetics, Mr. King served as Group President of Leidos Dynetics from January 2020 until his retirement in April 2022, where he was responsible for a $1.4 billion revenue business with more than 4,000 employees. Space Force. The Space Force’s Space Systems Command awarded Kratos a $447 million follow-on contract for Ground Management and Integration for the first two sets of Medium-Earth Orbit Missile Warning and Tracking satellites, according to a press release from the Agency. This follow-on award continues the positive award environment for Kratos, in our view.

Focus. SSC’s Resilient MWT MEO program under SYD 84 is focused on the rapid acquisition of robust infrared sensing technology and integrating it into an entirely new satellite constellation in MEO. SAN DIEGO, March 13, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: KTOS), a leader in defense, national security and global markets, and its partner Airbus announced today that the joint team continues to take steps towards completing an integrated Uncrewed Collaborative Combat Aircraft (UCCA) offering for the German Air Force and towards a maiden flight with a sovereign European mission system, the Multiplatform Autonomous Reconfigurable and Secure (MARS) system.

The two companies are bringing their respective industry-leading capabilities to integrate, missionize, and ultimately produce and deliver the Airbus UCCA System and are scheduled to fly later this year.

The Kratos Valkyrie is a high-performance, runway-flexible tactical unmanned aerial vehicle capable of long-range flights at high-subsonic speeds. Combining affordability, survivability, long-range, high-subsonic speeds, maneuverability and ability to carry flexible mission kit configurations and mix of lethal weapons from its internal weapons bay and wing stations, the Valkyrie provides unmatched operational flexibility at an affordable price for both Department of War (DoW) and international customers.

With a length of 9.1 m, a wingspan of 8.2 m, range of over 5,000 kilometres, maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of around three tons, the Valkyrie can fly at an altitude of up to 45,000 feet. The maiden flight of the Valkyrie already took place in the USA in 2019; and additional aircraft have been flying regularly since that time. The maiden flight of the Airbus variant is scheduled for 2026.

Fully autonomous or commanded by a Eurofighter, the Valkyrie is designed to be able to take on sensitive mission tasks that would pose too great a danger to the pilot. The UCCA can service kinetic and non-kinetic mission sets in several roles. For the German customer, Airbus and Kratos are initially focusing on a specific role to deliver credible combat air power on time and on target.

Overview. Kratos finished 2025 exceeding management’s financial objectives for the fourth quarter, generating approximately 20% year- over-year organic revenue growth, generating a 1.3 to 1.0 book-to-bill ratio on top of the organic growth, having a record backlog of $1.573  billion, and a record opportunity pipeline of $13.7  billion.

4Q25 Results. Fourth quarter revenue of $345.1 million reflected 20% y-o-y organic growth and exceeded our $320 million estimate. Unmanned Systems’ organic revenue growth was 12.1%, while Government Solutions saw 22.2% organic growth. Kratos recorded adjusted EBITDA of $34.1 million, up from $25.2 million a year ago and our $31 million estimate. Adjusted EPS came in at $0.18 versus $0.13 last year and our $0.14 estimate.
