Commercial Preparations Continue. Nutriband continues to prepare for the AVERSA Fentanyl clinical trial, now expected to begin in 1H27. The NDA will be submitted through the 505(b)(2) pathway and requires a single Phase 1 trial demonstrating abuse deterrence with AVERSA Fentanyl technology.
Opioid Crisis Is Getting Worse. The Opioid Crisis was declared a National Public Health Emergency in October 2017. While overdose deaths have declined from their 2023 peak, the number of people living with opioid addiction has increased. CEO Garth Sheridan recently appeared in a video with Nick Shirley, a well-known YouTuber. The segment featured a walking tour in Los Angeles, speaking with people who live with fentanyl addiction.
