Benjamin Lamson joins Bit Digital as Head of Revenue, bringing a proven track record in scaling revenue and driving growth. Most recently, he served as Head of Paperspace Revenue at DigitalOcean from July 2023 to August 2024, following DigitalOcean’s acquisition of Paperspace. As Chief Revenue Officer at Paperspace, he led a transformative go-to-market strategy that resulted in a 350% increase in topline revenue over 18 months. Prior to Paperspace, Benjamin co-founded WeDidIt, which was later acquired by Allegiance Group, where he continued to lead as Vice President of Sales. His entrepreneurial mindset, combined with leadership roles in sales and customer success, positions him to drive significant impact as Bit Digital expands into high-performance computing. He holds a BA in Communications from American University.

Tom Sanfilippo brings decades of experience in systems programming and software development to Bit Digital. Before joining the Company, he was with DigitalOcean, following its acquisition of Paperspace in 2023. At Paperspace, where he served as Chief Technology Officer from 2016 to 2023, Mr. Sanfilippo led the development of the Core GPU Compute Cloud and Gradient AI/ML Platform. His extensive expertise also includes a nearly a decade at Microsoft, where he led one of the largest development teams in the Microsoft Office group working on the precursor to OneDrive. He also held senior technical roles at Groove Networks and was a Research Scientist at the OSF Research Institute. The award incorporates Gas, Aero, Payload, Power (GAPP) enhancements that include the largest capability upgrade to date for the BQM-167A Product Baseline. The increased capabilities provided by the GAPP upgrade marks an indisputable enhancement in the BQM-167A’s evolution to keep pace replicating more advanced threats, thereby improving the weapon systems verification and training efforts the BQM-167A helps enable for the USAF. The work will be conducted in connection with AAFC’s Guelph Research & Development Centre (“GRDC“) located in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, and it will be led by Dr. Rong Cao. Costs associated with the Project will be covered by both MustGrow and AAFC through a Collaborative Research and Development Agreement under the AgriScience Program. All investigational research activities will be conducted at the GRDC. The funding amount received from AAFC is subject to the negotiation of the Collaborative Research and Development Agreement. MustGrow has always suspected potential product ingredient opportunities of mustard derivatives in human & animal health applications, including functional foods and nutraceuticals for improved immunity and gut health in humans, as natural food preservatives, as well as a replacement for antibiotics in animal feeds. The GRDC is a leading research institute in food health attributes and safety.

MustGrow will continue to focus on its core business in natural agricultural biopesticides, biofumigants, and biofertility products derived from the mustard seed or its processing by-products, while pursuing this opportunity in human and animal health in a cost-effective and expedient structure. The Health Program

Together, MustGrow and AAFC will:

  • Analyze the major bioactive components in mustard seed that may have antibiotic and gut health applications in both humans and animals.
  • Assess yellow mustard extracts for efficacy in converting glucosinolates into active ingredients that may have antibiotic and gut health applications in both humans and animals.
  • Test the selected bioactive components for antifungal and antibacterial activities against food spoilage microbes and disease pathogens, including the banana-plaguing disease Fusarium wilt TR4.
  • Test the selected bioactive components for antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, for use as ingredients in functional foods and nutraceuticals for improved immunity and gut health in both humans and animals.

Antimicrobial resistance (“AMR“) has become a leading global cause of death and is one of the greatest global health challenges: a growing threat to both human and animal health, as well as global food security.(1) In 2019, an estimated 4.95 million deaths were associated with bacterial AMR, including 1.27 million deaths directly attributable to bacterial AMR itself.(2)

The automated intelligent contracting solution is offered as part of the ISG GovernX ® vendor compliance and risk management platform to simplify contract generation, negotiation and management, including renewals of existing contracts.

ISG said the solution also has future application for ISG Tango ™, the firm’s groundbreaking sourcing platform launched earlier this year that digitizes all elements of ISG’s market-leading sourcing transactions business to better serve clients, improve transaction speed and efficiency, and allow ISG to expand into other market segments. It would be used initially, ISG said, to support the sourcing transaction needs of midmarket companies—a new market segment and growth area for ISG—and later for larger, more complex contracts as the AI model that powers the solution grows in capability and sophistication.

The newly awarded patent, #12,067,060, issued on August 21, 2024, covers a solution that uses AI to analyze and understand the preferences of all parties to a contract and suggest tailored terms for any contract scenario. It builds on U.S. patent #10,936,672, which was awarded to ISG in 2021 for a system that leverages machine learning and AI to generate documents based on historical contracts and data sets.

A third invention, currently patent pending, leverages machine learning and AI across the entire contract generation, pricing and negotiation process with a chatbot-like interaction for multiple parties involved in creating a contract.

The interface can emphasize selected sections and provide feedback based on a scoring mechanism. The system also facilitates automated negotiation by adjusting document sections in real-time based on the preferences and priorities of multiple parties, reducing the need for manual negotiation.
