BOCA RATON, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Mar. 20, 2025– The GEO Group, Inc. (NYSE: GEO) (“GEO” or the “Company”) announced today that the Company has entered into a contract with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”) for the immediate activation of a federal immigration processing center at the GEO-owned, 1,800-bed North Lake Facility (the “Facility”) in Baldwin, Michigan.

Within a few months, GEO and ICE expect to finalize a long-term contract. GEO expects to provide support services for ICE at the Facility under a multi-year contract that would be expected to generate in excess of $70 million in annualized revenues in the first full year of operations, with margins consistent with GEO’s company-owned Secure Services facilities. GEO’s support services are expected to include the exclusive use of the Facility by ICE, along with security, maintenance, and food services, as well as access to recreational amenities, medical care, and legal counsel.

BOCA RATON, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Mar. 10, 2025– The GEO Group, Inc. (NYSE: GEO) (“GEO” or the “Company”) announced today that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”) has entered into a contract modification of the current intergovernmental service agreement (“IGSA”) for the GEO-owned, 1,328-bed Karnes ICE Processing Center (the “Center) in Karnes City, Texas to transition the Center from housing adult males only to housing mixed populations. GEO provides support services for ICE at the Center under an IGSA between Karnes County and ICE, that is effective through August 2029. GEO’s support services include the exclusive use of the Center by ICE, along with security, maintenance, and food services, as well as access to recreational amenities, medical care, and legal counsel.

Under the revised IGSA, GEO is expected to generate approximately $79 million in annualized revenues in the first full year of operations, which is expected to represent incremental annualized revenues of approximately $23 million, with margins consistent with GEO’s company-owned Secure Services facilities.

BOCA RATON, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Feb. 12, 2024– The GEO Group, Inc. (NYSE: GEO) (“GEO” or the “Company”) has delivered a notice of redemption for all of the remaining $23,253,000 in outstanding aggregate principal amount of its 5.875%Senior Notes due October 15, 2024 (CUSIP No. 36162JAA4) (the “2024 Senior Notes”). The redemption of the 2024 Senior Notes will occur on March 11, 2024 (the “Redemption Date”).

The redemption price for the 2024 Senior Notes will be equal to $1,000 per $1,000 original principal amount, plus any accrued and unpaid interest up to, but excluding, the Redemption Date. GEO has deposited with the trustee for the 2024 Senior Notes the redemption price for the 2024 Senior Notes, using available cash on hand, and the Indenture governing the 2024 Senior Notes has been satisfied and discharged as to the 2024 Senior Notes. Payment of the redemption price for the 2024 Senior Notes will be made through the Depository Trust Company.

3Q22 Results. GEO once again posted solid operating results for 3Q22. Revenue for the quarter came in at $616.7 million, up from $557.3 million a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA totaled $136.2 million, AFFO was $0.60 per diluted share, EPS was $0.26, and adjusted net income $0.33 per share. In the year ago period, GEO reported $116.0 million, $0.65, $0.24, and $0.35, respectively. We had forecast $605 million, $132 million, $0.55, $0.35, and $0.35, respectively. GEO’s results highlight the resiliency of the business model, in our opinion.

BI Continues to Impress. GEO BI electronic monitoring subsidiary continues to show impressive growth. Segment 3Q22 revenue increased to $137 million up from $121.5 million in 2Q22. Through the first nine months of 2022, electronic monitoring and supervision revenue increased to $346.4 million, up from $278.9 million in all of 2021.
